Victor already talked about Manchester United football club, how to buy tickets for the match and how to get to the stadium. Today, he shares what he saw in the Museum of Manchester United and during a tour of Old Trafford.
Tickets can be purchased on the official website of Manchester United. The price of the tour with the museum is 19 pounds. The 80 minute (approx.) tours run 7 days a week from 09:40 to 16:30 except for the match days (it is open then too, but for the shorter time, check the website!). If you want to visit only the museum or just a tour, you can buy a ticket for 15 pounds. In all cases, there is a 2-pounds discount for students.
Let’s start from the museum. The symbol of any football club is its trophies. United has a full range of them. 20 league titles – more than anyone else, 11 FA Cups, 3 Champions League Cups, Super Cup, Cup Winners’ Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, along with many other less significant awards like “The most successful club in the world”.
Of course, the museum has an exhibition dedicated to the Munich air crash, which killed nine United players,
as well as the crew, and reporters.
The team was returning from Belgrade, having won the match of the Champions League with Red Star Belgrade.
The coach Sir Matt Busby survived and returned to the club after recovering from the injury. 10 years after the crash, he led the team to win the Champions League. During his career at Manchester United Busby he also won five league titles and two FA Cups.
Another legend of the club, Sir Bobby Charlton, survived in the Munich crash. In a 17-year long career in United, he played 758 games, scoring 249 goals. This is the club record, which can be beaten by Wayne Rooney in the nearest future.
Of course, in the museum, you can see a lot of trophies and achievements of the best world’s coach (in my opinion), legendary Sir Alex Ferguson. The famous Scot has won 38 different trophies being manger of the club.
Here you can also learn about the history and things associated with other legends of the club. One of them, the recordman Ryan Giggs played most games for the club – 963.
Paul Scholes is undoubtedly also the symbol of Manchester United.
You can see an orthopaedic shoe of the current team captain Wayne Rooney,
a shirt from Vidic,
gloves and boots of Van der Sar,
clothes of the legends of the past, in particular, George Best,
and the golden glove from Schmeichel,
Cantona, Keane .. Hard to count all..

And then with the song “Glory Man Utd” and rumbling of the crowd you will go through a tunnel from the dressing rooms to the stadium, as the players do.
